Aretha Miller is a veteran educator who is currently the Chief Executive Officer for the Community Education Building(CEB) in Wilmington, DE. Prior to joining the CEB, She has expertise in school evaluation and accountability. During the past 15 years, she has facilitated general site and renewal visits for both traditional district and charter schools across the United States. Aretha is also skilled at school improvement planning and workshop design and facilitation. She works collaboratively with school leaders, charter authorizers, and district and state education department administrators to improve student achievement. Aretha was a project manager at SchoolWorks; the curriculum coordinator for the DiplomaPlus initiative a nationally recognized alternative education model designed to re-engage at-risk and out-of-school youth to the learning process at the Commonwealth Corporation's Center for Youth Development and Education; and aspecial education teacher and literacy specialist in Boston Public Schools. Aretha graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. She holds a Master in Special Education from Lesley University.
