Carolyn Gery has served in the field of public education for over 28 years as a teacher and school
leader. Her educational and professional background is in the foundations of education, educational leadership, and educational technology. She received her Ed.D. in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University, her M.A. from Goddard College, and her B.A. in Spanish Literature from the University of California at San Diego. Dr. Carolyn Gery served as the principal and founder of a K-8 public charter school serving students in the urban corridor of Colorado Springs. She is currently the Chief Officer of Support Services for G.O.A.L. Academy, a blended-learning high school designed to meet the needs of opportunity youth in Colorado. She is currently immersed in the collaborative endeavor of developing a learning system integrating cognitive and non-cognitive domains. A primary belief held by her is that the school experience should impact children with a sense of wonder and fulfillment while also giving them the skills, knowledge, and motivation to contribute to a society that values and works toward equity and social justice. Although a grand vision, Dr. Gery strives to realize this goal through a collective effort and patience. |
