Lisa Darling-Daniel is a coordinator and instructor for the Ventura County Office of Education.
Lisa has taught 6-12 general education Language Arts and Math in the public setting, in both at-risk and GATE programs. Lisa coordinated district Beginning Teacher programs for elementary and secondary school districts. Lisa helped develop and coordinate a CAHSEE test prep program for at-risk students, using college tutors and targeting instruction. She has served on the school boards for both public and private schools. Lisa also developed and instructed professional development to strengthen pre-Algebra and Algebra skills for teachers working in Indian Reservation schools throughout the Southwest. Currently, Lisa is Coordinator of the Private/Charter/Independent Schools teachers in VCOE Induction program for beginning teachers, along with facilitating the Designated Subjects Credential program. Lisa mentors teachers and those teaching the at-risk population with a focus on improving math instruction, and teaches classes for Induction participating teachers. Lisa earned her BA in English, San Diego State University and has her National Board Certification in Early Adolescent Mathematics. Lisa will be part of the panel, "Preparing Great Teachers for At-Promise Students." |
