You won't want to be late for the first presentation. It begins with a student, Kowser Elmi (pictured at right), who was out-of-school and returned to graduate at SIATech San Diego. Her story is an incredible one of overcoming adversity. Click here to read a little about her.
The student will be followed by Dr. Terrence Roberts, one of the Little Rock Nine - the first students to desegregate Little Rock Central High School in 1957 after the landmark Brown v. Board of Education decision. Dr. Roberts endured constant torment during his education in high school and embodies a student who was determined to finish school against all odds. His remarks will set the stage for the forum's focus on breaking through barriers to help more students succeed.
