Dr. Norma Vijeila has served youth in alternative education programs in multiple capacities,
from teacher, assistant principal, principal and director of instruction. Currently, she works with other educators to significantly impact excellence and equity for all students. She believes that educators working with our most vulnerable population need to be willing to articulate the challenges and the needs of our vulnerable students. Once a high school dropout, now she is a first-generation college graduate Latina. She believes that every student deserves a high school diploma as a path to a better future.
